Billabong Slopestyle 2011 BEGINS!

COMPETITION SCHEDULE SATURDAY: 9-10am Rider Meeting and Practice.  1030am Competition Starts

Billabong and Snow Park NZ are proud to present the Billabong Slopestyle competition this weekend. Keeping with tradition, this hugely popular event has attracted world-class competitors such as Jamie Anderson, Antti Autti, Robbie Walker, Clint Allan, Sebastien Toutant, Zach Stone and Snow Park NZ’s own Jake Koia.

The course is set on Snow Park NZ’s famous triple-line, a perfect staging ground for the competitors to show off their best tricks and battle it out for a piece of the US$30,000 in prize money.

The event is now a four star TTR Slopestyle with Open and Junior divisions.

Billabong have set up free shuttles up to Snow Park NZ on Friday and Saturday, leaving Good Sports in Wanaka at 7am and 8am, and returning from Snow Park at 5pm.

And just so you don’t miss a thing, here is the run down:

DAY ONE Thursday 4th August

PRACTICE DAY AND OPENING PARTY
Day one is a practice day, and the competition will be officially kicked off with an opening party at Revolver in Queenstown featuring Australian band Van She Live.

DAY TWO Friday 5th August

QUALIFIER DAY
Competitors must prove themselves to make it into the finals tomorrow.

DAY THREE Saturday 6th August

FINALS
This is where the game truly begins; adrenaline will be pumping, excitement at an all time high, and the competitors will not be holding back.

VIP AFTER PARTY @ SNOW PARK NZ
What is a competition without an after party?! Party the night away at the Woolshed to the sound of David Dallas and DJ’s.
Free shuttles will be traveling back to Wanaka at 11pm and 12am.
