This year we are lucky to have the Snow Sports New Zealand FUNdamentals awards within our Night n Day programme. Each of the kids were awarded a level and certificate based on the skills that they have developed over the programme across four disciplines: park, pipe, free ride and race.
The continuous development of these fundamental skills increases their ability to improve their overall skiing and snowboarding at a higher level. It is this base of skills that means that they can excel as they will have a solid foundation from which to work from. This means they can go bigger, faster, safer and just get better and better!
This is the first season that Snow Sports New Zealand has rolled out the awards with the ultimate goal of having nationwide consistency amongst resorts. This is a fantastic tool and simple structure for us to base our Night n Day programme around and we are stoked to be on board.
