Novice
There is a misconception out there that Snow Park is just for advanced riders and all the features are huge and scary. Well, that’s not true, check out our stats for novice terrain, now set aside in the all new progressions learner’s area. This new feature for 2010 is a rope tow and learner’s slope.
Our learner’s area will enable us to teach people how to snowboard, and progress onto the rest of the mountain. It also features 2 boxes and a small jump to show anyone how easy it is to progress to freestyle terrain. These features will also enable us to educate first time snowboarders and skiers safe lines to ride around freestyle terrain to avoid unnecessary congestion and risk to both experienced and first time skiers and snowboarders.
Snow Park NZ already has an excellent international reputation for their exciting and innovative terrain but we are not forgetting to turn attention to the growth of the sport to attract a broader mix of visitors.
With such a wide variety of terrain even our box run features a full beginner’s line. With three 10ft jumps and a selection of ride on boxes the box run under lights is a fantastic first experience at Snow Park.
